Sky Ports signed a landmark agreement with Egypt's GALDP to develop the 133-acre Borg El Arab Dry Port, a major inland hub reshaping Mediterranean trade.
In a major step forward for regional supply chain infrastructure, Sky Ports has officially signed a landmark agreement with Egypt's General Authority for Land and Dry Ports (GALDP). The partnership outlines the development of the new Borg El Arab Dry Port and Logistics Zone, a massive 133-acre (feddan) facility strategically positioned to reshape trade and cargo movement across the Mediterranean.
This ambitious project is designed to support the region's heavy industrial activity by serving as a state-of-the-art inland hub for goods moving to and from Egypt's major maritime ports.
The Borg El Arab Dry Port is engineered to meet the demands of modern global trade. Once operational, the facility will feature:
By shifting processing inland, the hub will directly address maritime congestion, ease bottlenecks at sea borders, and accelerate the transit of imports and exports.
This collaboration between Sky Ports and GALDP directly aligns with the strategic directives of Egypt's Ministry of Transport. It marks a vital milestone in the country's national master plan to establish 33 dry ports and logistics centers nationwide, ultimately transforming Egypt into a premier global logistics and transit hub.
At Sky Ports, we are proud to bring our expertise to this transformational initiative, driving economic growth and building a more resilient, efficient supply chain for the Mediterranean industrial zone.
