Sky Ports and AASTMT launched their first joint training program at East Port Said, giving 50+ engineering students hands-on experience and job opportunities.
In a new step to strengthen the integration between academic education and practical application, Sky Ports — in cooperation with the Faculty of Engineering and Technology at the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport (AASTMT) — launched its first joint training program for AASTMT students from the Abu Qir and Port Said branches, drawn from the Mechanical Engineering and Construction Engineering departments, at the Sky Ports multipurpose terminal in East Port Said.
Prof. Akram Soliman, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Technology, affirmed that the participation of the college’s students in this program represents an important step toward preparing engineering cadres capable of innovation, application, and competition, through genuine training opportunities delivered in cooperation with industry partners.
Mr. Tarek Hussein, Chairman of the Board of Sky Ports — one of Sky Investments’ companies — added that the training program is a practical translation of the cooperation protocol signed with the Arab Academy, reflecting the company’s belief that real investment begins with building people and developing the talent capable of advancing Egypt’s logistics sector.
More than 50 students are taking part in the program, which includes field tours of operating and maintenance sites, the use of advanced simulation equipment, and open discussions with Sky Ports leadership on the development of port operations.
Because the program opens genuine employment prospects, it offers more than 100 job opportunities at the East Port Said terminal and more than 250 new job opportunities over the coming year, coinciding with the launch of the new dry bulk terminal in Ain Sokhna.
