Scrap is discharged directly from the vessel into high-sided trucks whenever operational conditions allow. Crane cycles and truck arrivals are synchronized to maintain continuous cargo movement and reduce the need for temporary accumulation alongside the vessel.
Scrap is commonly discharged into an open handling area before being collected and transferred by additional equipment. This creates an intermediate stockpile and introduces another stage between vessel discharge and transportation.
Direct vessel-to-truck handling reduces intermediate cargo movement, keeps the operational area more organized, and supports a faster and more consistent discharge cycle.

Vessel cranes, grabs, trucks, and terminal teams operate according to one coordinated sequence. Equipment positioning and truck circulation are planned around the vessel’s discharge progress, creating a controlled flow from the ship to the terminal exit.
Scrap may be accumulated in large piles and subsequently moved, reorganized, and loaded using multiple excavators, grabs, and loaders. Each additional movement increases equipment dependency and extends the cargo-handling process.
